Funfact: the Mossie could deliver the same bombload to Berlin as a B-17 but it would be half way back in the Uk before the B-17 got to Berlin. An incredibly versatile aircraft. One version had a huge cannon fitted to sink U Boats. The USAAF had many Mosquitoes for various tasks.

My uncle, George Roy Hill, was a Marine night fighter pilot training pilots at Cherry Point, North Carolina. He flew the night fight versions of the F4U Corsair, the F6F Hellcat, F9F Panther, and the Navy version of the Shooting Star as well as the F7F Tiger Cat. Knowing my uncle, I think that you have to be a little bit crazy in order to do that job.

I had the great fortune to be able to talk with this fine fellow a year ago, before and after his brother took me for a ride in Spam Can, a P51D, where I sat where the behind-the-pilot gas tank used to be. What a gift! Steve told me that the F86 is his favorite. The first time I ever heard the name of this great guy was back in 1975, in Air Classics magazine - back in the RB51 days. I'll never forget this day!

One of them ended up at Torbay airport in St Johns Newfoundland in the 80s. It spent the night in a hanger there, waiting to complete its flight to England where it was appearing in a movie. I got to spend a bunch of time inside. The seating positions for pilots was unusual...offset and high and low. It belonged to the Confederate Air Force then.

Lt Col William Holloman, thank You for being who you are a true Aviator Tuskegee all of you plote are so very very special . It is about time that our Country are now giving you and other credit 😂 . Lt Col W. Holloman was watching from my Phone just this month a older Tuskegee Aviator wass at I believe a private Hanger and showing a P51 earlier Model. The owner was white said to the Tuskegee Airman. That was to old to site in the back pilot seat. That was very , very much wrong to say that to the Airman. After that was said, the Camerman took the camera off of him. That was a Negative attitude, just disrespectful. This is 2024 yr. man ; white floks just do not get it.. Again we are very honored by your Service!! Min. Timothy Wellington😊😊😊 Feb. 20, 2024 Tues.
